Member Group


The Communications Committee is responsible for the "printed" communication with the Utah Chapter.  This includes preparation and publishing of the monthly Chapter Newsletter, administering and updating the Chapter website, and sending e-mail messages to Chapter members.   The Committee is always interested in hearing what's new with members and their employers and welcomes any input.


The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for setting the price and benefits for annual Gold Sponsors, as well as recruiting those Gold Sponsors.  The Committee is also responsible for making sure the Chapter keeps its agreement with those Sponsors throughout the year, as it relates to publicity and visibility.


The Professional Development Committee is responsible for monthly programs and, specifically, for making sure the content of those programs addresses the core competencies of professional facility management.  The Committee is also responsible for encouraging professional members to obtain and maintain professional accreditation (CFM and FPM).


The Hospitality and Special Events Committee is responsible for the annual "social" events, such as the Golf Tournament and Holiday Social.  In addition, the Committee is responsible for door prizes at monthly meetings and special events such as the annual Spring Conference.

Public Relations

The Public Relations Committee is responsible for creating visibility for the Chapter in the media as well as in professional groups throughout the State of Utah.


The Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting new members as well as retention of existing members.  The Committee is also responsible for maintaining and distributing current Chapter membership rosters to approved members and Gold Sponsors.

BYU Chapter Liaison

The BYU Chapter Liaison is responsible for keeping the BYU Student Chapter informed of Utah Chapter events and encouraging participation by students.  

IFMA Bucks

The IFMA Bucks Committee is responsible for tracking Chapter member attendance at meetings and events throughout the year and assigning the appropriate number of "bucks" for such attendance.  The Committee is also responsible for obtaining prizes for purchase at the Spring Conference and administering the auction at the Conference.
