Meeting / Event Information

The Utah Chapter meets once a month, usually during lunch time. Each meeting includes lunch, an educational presentation, and networking.  The meeting often includes a tour of a local facility. Meetings are intended to help professional members gain knowledge and networking contacts.  The following is a list of what to expect throughout the year:

    • March or April - Spring Conference - 8:00am - 3:00pm
    • August - Golf Tournament - 7:30am - 3:30pm
    • October - Fall Conference - 8:00am - 1:00pm
    • November - Service Project - 11:00am - 1:30pm
    • December - Christmas Social - Lunch or Dinner

We have a great Spring Conference for this year in the brand-new Hale Center Theater in Sandy, UT.

Please note that Tuesday the 13th at 6:00 PM is absolutely the last opportunity you'll have to register and attend this event.  There will not be any exceptions so please sign up today.

Our opening address will be given by Kevin Randall and our Keynote Speaker will be Utah’s very own Attorney General Sean D. Reyes.

Kevin Randall

Kevin has more than 20 years of corporate leadership experience, primarily in the service sectors of hospitality and healthcare.  Kevin has a firm belief, validated by the consistent and successful achievement of corporate goals and objectives, that commercial success is best achieved through inspired leadership and engaged employees, working in a culture of accountability, directed towards a clear and meaningful purpose.  As such, Kevin defines his role and responsibility, regardless of his title or job description, to teach, inspire, coach, encourage, and enable others to understand their purpose and potential and make consistent strides towards reaching that ever-increasing potential in the pursuit of specific personal and professional goals.

In his career with IHG – InterContinental Hotels Group, Kevin has led many key functions within the Customer Contact Centers, including the Director of Resource Planning and Workforce Management, Director of Operation, Director of Strategy and Analytics and most recently, the Vice President of Reservations and Customer Care.  As the Vice President of Reservations and Customer Care, Kevin was accountable for the operational and financial performance of 11 contact centers spread across 7 countries. 

Kevin is a storyteller with the ability to create a simplistic and clear understanding of complex and chaotic problems, challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable solutions.  He is an analytical thinker with many years of experience in operations management, strategic planning, creative problem solving, resource planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.  His personal and professional success has come from his focus on optimizing people, processes, and tools to deliver on their potential.

Kevin has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah

Kevin is currently blogging on various leadership topics ( and working on what he hopes will be his first published book.

Kevin is married with three children, with only one still living in the house.  He lives in Kaysville, which is a suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah.


 Brian S. Besser

Brian S. Besser

Brian Besser currently serves as the DEA Denver Field Division's District Agent in Charge of the State of Utah.  Agent Besser is responsibile for overseeing all of DEA's administrative and enforecement efforts throughout the state's twenty-nine countries; he also serves as the Commander of the Metro Narcotics Task Force - a multi-agency partnership comprised of over fifteen local, state, and federal lawe enforcement organizations. 

During his 27 career, Agent Besser has served in both federal and local law enforcement positions with assignments in Greenville, South Carolina; Syracuse, New York; Rockford, Illinois; Washington D.C., and Salt Lake City, Utah. 

As a field agent Mr. Besser functioned as a subject matter expert for clandestine laboratory operations and threat assessment.  While assigned to DEA Headquarters, Agent Besser managed DEA's global program responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining functional emergency preparedness and Continuity of Operations.  

Agent Besser holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bob Jones University and is completing his Master of Divinity with Maranatha Seminary.  He is the father of triplet daughers who he refuses to let grow-up.
