Topic: Innovative Customer Fulfillment

How to be flexible and innovative in creating a greater customer experience.  This is done through allowing for customized inventories, advancements in shipping and reducing the cost of doing business.  These factors greatly affect the financial outcomes of companies, but only minimally get addressed during the course of the business day.

Speaker:  Shawn Newell

Shawn is the Vice President of Business Development at Industrial Supply Company, where he has been employed for the past 35 years.  Shawn serves as a community integrator working as the VP of the Salt Lake Branch of the NAACP, as a Commissioner on the Governor's Martin Luther King Jr Human Rights Coalition. Shawn serves as a member of the Utah Manufacturer's Association Board, the Workforce and Economic Development Advisory at the Salt Lake Community College, where he is also the Alumni Council President and a Trustee. He is a Civility Ambassador for World Civility through iChange Nations. Shawn also serves on the Utah Courts Committee for Self-Represented Parties.  He is a graduate of the University of Utah where he was a student athlete. His approach to leadership most likely stems from his past involvement with the NFL, playing for the Chicago Bears. In his "spare time" he officiates youth and adult sports, gardens, and cooks!
